for truly validating the best part of my career

I spent over 30 years as a first line manager with a small pharmaceutical company. I had a very successful style of leading (not managing) that put the employee first and allowed a lot of autonomy in getting the job done. Ross has done a fabulous job of putting into words and action just how this works. In my last five years of my tenure as a manager and as my small company began morphing into "big pharma" I was essentially directed to abandon what had worked so well and forced to become an order giver. Thank you, Ross, for truly validating the best part of my career.

Powerful Message For Business and Family

An easy read that will only take a few days to finish, but will change your organization forever. The authors give many examples of how this "formula" works and how easy it is to implement. This book needs to be placed into the hands of any administrator who wants a positive atmosphere within their organization. Even applying this technique within a family unit will make a remarkable change in your personal life as well. I've heard Dr. Reck speak at a local hospital several years ago and continue to be amazed at how powerful his message is.

Ross really gets it right here! After 30 years in front line leadership, I can tell you that engagement has to come fro the individual and I can appreciate the linkage to Maslow's heirarchy. In my experience, if you think about your most engaged employees and then consider where they are on the heirarchy you will realize attention in this area can only reap great reward. It is time to go back to the model of people over profit because it is our people who ultimately drive our profit.
